Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 8 September 2026
Last Updated: 8 September 2026

This Warranty Policy applies to eligible products purchased through www.ioctstore.com, an e-commerce platform operated by BIOOCT Healthcare Technologies Private Limited (“IOCT Store”, “BIOOCT”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

This Policy should be read together with the product user manual, Terms and Conditions, Return and Replacement Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Limited Warranty

Unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page, invoice, packaging or warranty card, eligible BIOOCT products purchased through IOCTstore.com are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the original date of purchase shown on the invoice.

This warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and failures occurring during normal use under the conditions specified in the product manual.

The warranty does not guarantee that the product will operate without interruption or that every service request will qualify for free repair or replacement.

2. Warranty Duration

The following standard warranty periods apply unless different terms are expressly communicated for a particular product:

Product or component — Warranty period

  • Main product unit: 12 months

  • Internal cooling system and control electronics: 12 months

  • Display or control interface, where supplied: 12 months

  • Supplied power adapter: 6 months

  • Rechargeable battery, where supplied: 6 months

  • Detachable cables and non-powered accessories: 3 months

  • Consumable or replaceable items: Not covered unless expressly stated

The warranty period begins on the invoice date and does not restart following resale, transfer, repair or replacement.

A repaired or replaced component will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from the repair or replacement date, whichever is longer.

3. Products Covered

This warranty applies only to:

  • Genuine BIOOCT products;

  • Products purchased from IOCTstore.com or an authorised BIOOCT seller;

  • Products supported by a valid invoice or acceptable proof of purchase;

  • Products bearing an identifiable and unaltered serial number; and

  • Products used in India unless international warranty coverage is expressly confirmed in writing.

Products purchased from an unauthorised seller may not qualify unless their authenticity and purchase details can be verified.

4. Components Covered

Subject to inspection and verification, the limited warranty may cover manufacturing defects in:

  • Thermoelectric or other supplied cooling module;

  • Internal cooling assembly;

  • Main printed circuit board;

  • Temperature sensor;

  • Control panel or touch-control interface;

  • Display or indicator lights, where supplied;

  • Internal fan or ventilation system;

  • Power-control circuitry;

  • Charging circuitry, where supplied;

  • Internal wiring and electrical connections;

  • Factory-installed rechargeable battery during its stated limited warranty;

  • Supplied power adapter during its stated limited warranty;

  • Door, latch, seal or hinge where failure results from a manufacturing defect; and

  • Other factory-installed components necessary for normal product operation.

Coverage applies only when the issue is caused by a defect in material, assembly or workmanship.

5. What the Warranty Provides

For an approved warranty claim, BIOOCT may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • Diagnose or troubleshoot the product;

  • Repair the defective component;

  • Replace the defective component;

  • Replace the product with the same model;

  • Provide an equivalent model if the original is unavailable; or

  • Offer another appropriate remedy where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

The repair or replacement decision will depend on:

  • Nature of the defect;

  • Product condition;

  • Availability of components;

  • Repair feasibility;

  • Product age;

  • Safety considerations; and

  • Applicable consumer rights.

A replacement product may be new or professionally restored to equivalent functional condition, where legally permitted and clearly communicated to the customer.

6. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Accident, misuse, abuse or negligence;

  • Dropping, impact, crushing or excessive vibration;

  • Fire, smoke, flooding or natural disaster;

  • Water or liquid entering parts not designed for liquid exposure;

  • Corrosion, rust, dust, insects or foreign-material entry;

  • Improper installation, charging, transportation or storage;

  • Failure to follow the user manual or safety instructions;

  • Use outside the stated temperature, humidity or environmental limits;

  • Use with an incompatible, damaged or unauthorised adapter, cable, power supply or accessory;

  • Voltage fluctuation, electrical surge, short circuit or unstable power source;

  • Unauthorised opening, repair, modification or component replacement;

  • Altered software or firmware, where applicable;

  • Commercial, industrial or continuous operation outside the stated intended use;

  • Blocked ventilation or inadequate airflow;

  • Overloading the storage chamber;

  • Use of chemicals or unsuitable cleaning materials;

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Cosmetic scratches, dents, fading or discolouration that do not affect performance;

  • Damage occurring after delivery and unrelated to manufacturing;

  • Loss or theft;

  • Continued use after a known fault or safety warning; or

  • Events outside BIOOCT’s reasonable control.

7. Additional Exclusions

The warranty may be declined where:

  • The serial number is missing, altered or unreadable;

  • The warranty label or security seal has been removed or tampered with;

  • The invoice or purchase details cannot be verified;

  • The returned product differs from the product originally supplied;

  • The customer provides false or misleading claim information;

  • The product is found to be functioning within its published specifications;

  • No manufacturing defect is found during inspection; or

  • The reported problem relates to an external item rather than the BIOOCT product.

Consumables and accessories subject to routine replacement are not covered unless a manufacturing defect existed at delivery or coverage is expressly stated.

8. Temperature-Performance Conditions

Cooling performance depends on operating conditions including:

  • Ambient temperature;

  • Product starting temperature;

  • Contents placed inside;

  • Frequency and duration of opening;

  • Ventilation;

  • Power-source stability;

  • Product orientation; and

  • Compliance with operating instructions.

Normal temperature cycling or reasonable variation within the product’s published specification is not a defect.

A claim based on cooling performance may require controlled testing under the operating conditions stated in the product manual.

9. Storage of Medicines and Other Sensitive Items

Unless expressly certified and described for a particular medical purpose, an IOCT Store cooling product is not a substitute for professional medical advice or independently validated clinical storage equipment.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Following the medicine or item manufacturer’s storage instructions;

  • Confirming that the product’s temperature range is suitable;

  • Monitoring temperature where necessary;

  • Maintaining an alternative storage arrangement during power failure, travel, repair or service;

  • Inspecting temperature-sensitive contents before use; and

  • Consulting a doctor, pharmacist or qualified professional if storage conditions may have been interrupted.

BIOOCT is not responsible for the loss, deterioration or replacement cost of medicines, insulin, expressed breast milk, skincare products, food, beverages or other contents stored in the product, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Battery Warranty

Where a rechargeable battery is supplied, it is covered against verified manufacturing defects for the period stated above.

Battery capacity naturally reduces with time and use. Gradual reduction in runtime is normal and is not covered unless the reduction is caused by a verified manufacturing defect during the warranty period.

Battery coverage may be declined for damage caused by:

  • Overcharging using an unauthorised power supply;

  • Deep discharge or prolonged storage without charging;

  • Exposure to excessive heat, water or impact;

  • Swelling caused by misuse or physical damage;

  • Unauthorised battery replacement; or

  • Failure to follow charging and storage instructions.

If swelling, leakage, excessive heat or unusual odour is observed, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.

11. Transit Damage and Early Defects

Visible transit damage, missing components or incorrect products should be reported within 48 hours of delivery under the Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Manufacturing defects identified within 7 calendar days of delivery may qualify for return or replacement under the Return and Replacement Policy.

Defects reported after the return period but within the applicable warranty period will ordinarily be handled through warranty repair or component replacement.

12. Warranty-Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, contact:

Email: support@ioctstore.com
Customer Support: +91 8610977460

Provide:

  • Customer’s full name;

  • Order number or invoice number;

  • Registered mobile number and email address;

  • Product name and model;

  • Product serial number;

  • Date of purchase;

  • Detailed description of the issue;

  • Photographs or video showing the issue, where possible;

  • Photograph of the product label and serial number; and

  • Copy of the invoice or proof of purchase.

Customers should not send the product without first receiving a support-ticket or return-authorisation reference.

13. Initial Troubleshooting

Before arranging collection or service, our support team may request reasonable troubleshooting, including:

  • Confirming the power source;

  • Checking the supplied adapter or cable;

  • Restarting or resetting the product;

  • Checking ventilation and placement;

  • Confirming the operating environment;

  • Verifying temperature settings or indicators; or

  • Participating in a video call for remote inspection.

Customers should follow only the troubleshooting steps authorised by BIOOCT. Customers should not open the product or attempt internal repairs.

Troubleshooting does not reduce warranty rights where a covered defect is confirmed.

14. Product Collection or Service Delivery

If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, we may:

  • Arrange reverse pickup;

  • Direct the customer to an authorised service location; or

  • Ask the customer to send the product to a designated address.

Where an approved in-warranty manufacturing defect is confirmed, BIOOCT will bear reasonable pickup and return-delivery costs.

Where no defect is found or the issue is excluded from warranty, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Inspection charges;

  • Forward and reverse shipping costs;

  • Repair charges; and

  • Replacement-component costs.

Any charge will be communicated for approval before chargeable repair work begins.

15. Packing the Product for Service

The customer must:

  • Remove all personal items and stored contents;

  • Clean and dry the product;

  • Include the supplied adapter or relevant accessory if requested;

  • Use the original packaging where reasonably available;

  • Protect the product from impact during transportation;

  • Include the service-reference number; and

  • Retain the pickup receipt and tracking information.

BIOOCT is not responsible for medicines, insulin pens, expressed breast milk, skincare items, food, beverages or other personal items sent inside a returned product.

16. Inspection and Diagnosis

After receiving the product, BIOOCT or an authorised service provider may inspect:

  • Product identity and serial number;

  • Physical condition;

  • Power and charging operation;

  • Cooling performance;

  • Electronics and internal components;

  • Evidence of impact, liquid exposure or misuse;

  • Warranty labels and security seals; and

  • The reported defect.

Inspection generally requires 3 to 7 business days after the product reaches the service location.

Complex technical issues or unavailable components may require additional time.

17. Repair Terms

If the claim is approved for repair:

  • Covered parts and labour will be provided without charge;

  • Only necessary components may be repaired or replaced;

  • Replaced defective components may be retained by BIOOCT;

  • Product settings may be reset during service;

  • Minor cosmetic differences in replacement parts may occur; and

  • Repair timing will depend on component availability and technical complexity.

We will make reasonable efforts to complete standard warranty repairs within 7 to 15 business days after inspection approval.

This is an estimated timeline and does not include transportation time.

18. Replacement Terms

A product may be replaced where:

  • The defect cannot be reasonably repaired;

  • Repair is unsafe or commercially impractical;

  • The same defect continues after reasonable repair attempts;

  • A required component is permanently unavailable; or

  • Replacement is otherwise required under applicable law.

Replacement is subject to product availability.

If the same model or colour is unavailable, BIOOCT may offer:

  • Another colour of the same model;

  • An equivalent or upgraded model, subject to any agreed price difference;

  • Store credit with the customer’s consent; or

  • A refund where repair or suitable replacement is unavailable.

The customer will not be required to accept store credit instead of a refund where a refund is legally due.

19. Products Found Without Defect

If testing confirms that the product operates within its published specifications, the claim may be classified as “No Defect Found”.

The product will be returned with available test findings or usage guidance. The customer may be required to pay reasonable inspection and shipping charges after being informed.

20. Out-of-Warranty Service

Products outside the warranty period or affected by excluded damage may be eligible for paid repair, subject to:

  • Availability of replacement parts;

  • Product condition;

  • Service feasibility; and

  • Customer approval of the estimate.

An inspection or diagnostic charge may apply. Paid repairs will begin only after the customer accepts the quotation.

Unless otherwise stated, replaced parts supplied during paid repair will carry a 90-day service warranty limited to the repaired or replaced component.

21. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:

  • Read and follow the product manual;

  • Use the product only for its intended purpose;

  • Use approved power supplies, adapters and accessories;

  • Maintain adequate ventilation;

  • Keep the product clean and dry;

  • Avoid overloading or obstructing airflow;

  • Follow charging and battery-storage instructions;

  • Protect the product from impact, water, heat and voltage fluctuations;

  • Retain the invoice and serial-number details;

  • Stop using the product if a potentially unsafe condition appears;

  • Report defects promptly;

  • Provide truthful and complete claim information;

  • Remove all personal contents before service; and

  • Avoid unauthorised repair, opening or modification.

22. Limitation of Warranty

This limited warranty covers only the eligible BIOOCT product.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, it does not cover indirect or consequential losses, including loss of:

  • Stored medicines or consumable contents;

  • Business income;

  • Travel costs;

  • Data;

  • Opportunity; or

  • Third-party property.

Nothing in this Policy excludes liability or customer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights concerning defective or unsafe products.

23. Transfer and Resale

The warranty is ordinarily linked to the original product and proof of purchase.

A subsequent owner may claim the remaining warranty period only if:

  • The original invoice is provided;

  • The product and serial number can be verified;

  • The warranty has not expired; and

  • The product has not been altered or obtained through an unauthorised channel.

The warranty period will not restart upon resale or transfer.
